What is Kakilima?

Kakilima is a term in Indonesia for people who sell many variety kind of product, it used to be a wide variety of food, such as ice cream, meat balls, cakes, nodles, candy, snacks, etc. The term “kaki lima” means “five feet”, because the total amount of the “foot” they use are five. Two feet belongs to the seller; and three feet belong to the merchandise box.

“kaki lima” can be found on almost places in Indonesia cities. On the walking path of the street, housing area, bus station, every corner of a crowd. Most of the time they are mobile, and stop only to service their customer, then they continue to move again to any different place.
